Jeff Long

Owner/Lead Baseball Instructor

45 minute lessons = $55


Jeff played high school ball in highly recruited Cobb County, Georgia where he earned All State honors his senior year. He then went on to play collegiate baseball at Gardner-Webb University where he broke several career pitching records including 1st in innings pitched, career starts, complete games and batters faced.

After his senior year he was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 12th round of the 2004 MLB draft. He went on to play 6 years of pro ball compiling 33 wins and 450 innings pitched with a career professional ERA of 3.91 before retiring in 2010.

Jeff has been coaching/instructing in the Charlotte area for over 15 years and has seen over 35 of his players reach their dream of playing collegiate baseball.

Hayden Milley

Hitting & Pitching Instructor

Strength Training/Speed and Agility certified

45 minute lessons = $50

Hayden is from Fort Mill, SC where he was a 3 year starter at Clover High School in baseball and a 4 year starter in football. After high school Hayden attended Emory & Henry college in Virginia where as a senior he started all 23 games. Batted .298 with a .337 on-base percentage and a .521 slugging average. Hit seven doubles, one triple and four home runs. Posted a team-best 26 RBI, scored 16 runs.


He graduated E&H with a degree in Health and Human Performance with a degree in Sports Management.

Coach Hayden has been training with the Pelicans Facility since he was 14 years old and has been a summer camp coach for 4 years and is our lead instructor for our workout program.

Coach Hayden is available for private hitting and pitching lessons as well as strength training and will be a summer camp coach again as well.

Kevin Martir

Hitting and Catching Instructor

45 minute lessons = $75


Kevin is currently the hitting coach for the Tampa Tarpons, the New York Yankees single A baseball team. Prior to working with the Yankees, he spent two years in the Philadelphia Phillies organization as a Player/Coach (1st year) and the Minor league development coach (2nd year). As well as a student assistant for the University of Maryland baseball team (2017-2018).

At Maryland, Martir was named a third-team All-American in 2015 and was named one of 20 semifinalists for the Johnny Bench Award, given to the nation’s top catcher.


Martir was drafted in the 18th round by the Houston Astros in the 2015 MLB Draft and went on to win the Appalachian league title with the Greeneville Astros. He was also apart of the Milwaukee Brewers organization in 2017.
